Last Night in Soho Short Review

Writer's picture: Bryan W. Dull Bryan W. Dull

Another stylistic film from Edgar Wright, but its pacing kept it from being more engaging in my opinion. The use of excellent music and great cinematography brings 60s London to life only to show the dark side of showbiz and the misogyny of the time. With the use of mirrors, clever editing, and infusing horror elements, Soho is a stand out for the director. There were some lost opportunities to give the main character a bit more substance. Overall, not the best Edgar Wright film, but definitely not the worst. Worth your time for sure.
